Medford, I am only about an hour away from you.  I'd love to come down and train with you sometime maybe this spring or summer if you can get me into your gym!

Sweet.
What I also want to know is how is the diet going?

And when do you want to train with me?

I was impressed using the 50 lb dumbbells...shrugs is my strongest movement

you know, sally always said when she is out of prison she will train with me and I think NO WAY

Medford is inherantly lazy.  Unless you want to train on the heavybag, speed bag, etc.  then I work for it.

If you hang in there into the end of February (and February a short month! ;)), your appetite and eating behavior should've changed, so the dieting will be much easier by then.

And also add the fact that we're constantly getting longer days with more sun hours, which helps us stay more focused (always easier to diet in the spring).

You've done the hard part Medford, know it's time to hang in for a few more weeks, then it will be much easier to do.

Again, take time to cook, using whole-grain pasta, and use foods from this classic article, Power Foods, foods that are especially nutritious:

Um, I am so glad that I did a light workout today.  I would stay away from ham, although I hear green eggs and ham are good, from Sam I Am.

yeah I worked out this week but slipped up on the diet.  I'm being honest.  I think I became complacent.  The only thing that makes me focused on diet is going to the gym regularly.  I need to prepare food in advance.  I'm going back on track though

Both are important.  If you CAN weight train (meaning if you have the time), then you should.

Don't forget that you get more afterburn from weight training, meaning that your metabolism will be increased for a longer period of time after you train with weights, allowing you to burn more calories over a 24 hour period.

Medford, you should go to the New Englands in early May.  It's the biggest NPC show around these parts.  I think it's being renamed the Jay Cutler Classic this year, not sure though.  Jay guest poses every year.

My hubby and I are on Team New England and we run all 8 of the NPC shows in New England...so just let me know if you want in, and I can put you on the list for any of them.

Let Jedi get your tickets for something like the Olympia.  ;)

Sunday May 4, I believe...at John Hancock Hall in downtown Boston.  I put the link for the info about all of the shows in the area in the "Never" thread you started.  It's a good show.  I'll put you on the VIP list.   8)

Hopefully we'll have a chance to meet up before then.  ;)

Both are important.

Weight training is "healthy" for women my gyno says so Medford

all this will last you benefit wise until you're 114 yrs old

It's also another thing:

You're starting to become a different person, you're transforming into a more fit, smaller person, with a different body.

This is actually something that a few people will have difficulty facing at first.

It's the "fat shield", the "fat person identity".

You become somewhat a different person, and during this transformation, starts to ask yourself if you can be this new person.

Doesn't happen to everyone, but not uncommon.

Everything will be like before. It will just be that much better.
