8 of the competitors in the world championship 2007 (Jeju) have tested positive.  Including the 1st & 2nd  place of the under 90KG category.  Congrats to Shahat Mabrook who won the World Championship at the age of 50 for the 8th time

The same story happened in 2002 in Egypt; where he placed 3rd initially and then went on wining after the 1st and 2nd place failed the doping test.

Only 2 from each category was tested.  The way it was done:

They bring a box with 6 balls in it; 2 yellow and 4 blue.  Then you have to pick a ball.  The box is sealed and blinded so you cant see the balls.  If you pick a yellow ball then you have to undergo the doping test, and if you pick a white ball then you are clear.

From the under 90KG category only the 1st and 2nd underwent the test;  and they both failed so Shahat is the winner.


Also Bahrain team got 4th after the disqualification and Korea 3rd.
