Question:

1. I think we did land on the Moon, but I would never label someone who thinks differently a "nut".  The people that think we haven't been have a lot of good evidence, and the motive was there to fake it.

2. Why do you label people who don't believe the "official" government version of 9/11 "nuts"? How do you know for sure that the military industrial complex, certain Americans, government officials or anyone else who would have motive to destroy the buildings didn't assist the terrorists?  You know how fishy it looks.

I just wonder why you call people "nuts" or other words like that when you don't have complete evidence that they are wrong?

I would think an intelligent person like yourself would be open to all sides until there was absolute proof.

Thanks!

Thanks for the questions and for the compliment Ron Paul Fan.  That was actually three questions.   :)

1.  I do throw that "nut" word around quite a bit huh?  :)  Look mang, I like to engage in theoretical discussions.  We do it on the board all the time.  I do it in real life all the time.  I do it in my classroom, in my profession, with my kids, friends.  But I also believe in cutting to the chase on certain things.  Regarding the moon, it's a dumb theory.  Plain and simple.  We did not fool the entire world into believing that we landed on the moon when we really didn't.  If I start debating something so asinine, it really makes me sort of a dope.  It would be like debating whether or not Ronald Reagan was actually shot.  Or whether Timothy McVeigh was really executed. . . .  I have no problem calling a dumb theory . . . dumb.

2.  The 911 conspiracy theory is also dumb.  You have people saying we shot missiles into the Pentagon, used holograms to fake planes flying into the World Trade Center, secretly planted explosives in a building, secretly landed two planes, murdered the passengers, and disposed of the planes.  Someone on this board actually said one of the passengers was secretly released overseas several years ago.  This stuff is absolutely ridiculous.  It is insulting to the victims of 911.  It is insulting to the family members of the victims.

3.  Like most of the sane world, I have all the evidence I need regarding 911.  It was one of the worst days of my life.  I believe my eyes.  I saw the planes hit the buildings.  It doesn't look fishy to me at all.  Terrorists attacked the United States and murdered American citizens.  No, the president of the United States and hundreds of other military, government, and civilian people did not engage in a mass conspiracy to carry out the 911 attacks.  It's a stupid theory.

4.  I interact with a lot of people and I have never had a person, other than two of my softball teammates, talk to me about a 911 conspiracy.  (I have never had a person talk to me about the alleged fake moon landing.)  It's telling.  This conversation was over a year ago.  They burned my ear for nearly an hour.  It was torture.  We couldn’t get past the “what happened to the bodies” question (mine).  They used the 911 talking points:  “it’s up to the person accepting the ‘official story’ to explain what happened to the bodies,” or something like that.  It’s comical.

5.  There is a reason why no mainstream media outlet, no presidential candidate, etc. do not talk about this nonsense.  It makes absolutely no sense.  No presidential candidate can allege that we faked the moon landing and be taken seriously.  No presidential candidate can talk about this 911 conspiracy stuff and be taken seriously.  Youandme recently posted that Ron Paul disavowed that nonsense the other day.  Why?  Because it doesn't make any dang sense and he actually wants the public to believe he is a legitimate candidate.  How quickly do you think his presidential candidacy would sink if he held a press conference to say we faked the moon landing, or that missile were shot into the Pentagon on 911?

Now, this might be the most I've ever posted on 911 (or the faked moon landing), but you asked.  :)

Thanks for the response Beach Bum.

I still think you should reconsider calling people with alternative opinions on the matters names like "nuts".  All signs pointed to a flat Earth, and everyone who thought differently was crazy.  You could plainly see that the ground was flat as a pancake.  We didn't have enough information at that time to know if it was really flat.  I think you're doing the same thing.  To each his own I guess.

Lots of 9/11 victims family members don't believe the official story, they had to fight for an investigation that had less funding than the Monica Lewinsky fiasco.  Do you think family members of victims should have had to fight our government just to get an investigation of such a horrendous event?  I think you're wrong for speaking for them like you did.

About Ron Paul, I was extremely relived to hear him denounce 9/11 conspiracy's on TV.  You know what the media would do with a clip of Paul talking about questions surrounding 9/11.  8)

I don't call people with alternative opinions nuts.  I call people who act like nuts, nuts.   :)  Like people who believe they were abducted by aliens, that we faked the moon landing, that believe in about ten ridiculous conspiracy theories, etc.

But thanks for your comments.  I'll try and be mindful of how I use that term and all of its variations.

beach bum = the douchebag throughout history who always repeats what he is told.

He'd be the guy telling copernicus he's wrong, telling galileo he's wrong... not out of any scientific evidence, but because it just "feels right".

BB won't face the facts that congress called JFK a conspiracy, or that the dod admitted yeah, the gulf of tonken was staged.  He just IGNORES these facts from his own govt.

It's because he doesn't love what is right.  He's insecure and just wants to be on the "winning team".  WHen Hilary wins, he'll be on here defending her for 4 years.  He has no sense of what he believes in.  He is a pussy, plain and simple.  I'm a nut because I have the courage to listen to 4 of the 911 commissioners saying "We need a second investigation" and agree?  He's a pussy because he cannot face what they're saying because it'll make him look like an ass for the 10,000 times he said something that 40% of the 911 commissioners DISAGREE with.

He is anti-fact.  And that really ruins arguments here.  But hey, the world is full of pieces of shit.  I'm okay with him being here.

We faked the moon landing.

The government carried out the 93 WTC bombing.

The government bombed the federal building in Oklahoma City.

Timothy McVeigh was not really executed.

The government carried out the anthrax attacks.

Hundreds and perhaps thousands of people conspired to carry out the 911 terrorist attacks, including shooting a missile into the Pentagon, secretly kidnapping passengers from flights 77 and 93, murdering them, and disposing of their bodies and planes.

What did I miss?   :)

Not sure it's a red herring as I don't know there was any kind of actual issue to debate between the two, but it was pretty harsh.

I know, I just like the picture.  I miss fishing.  Lol.

On topic, BB just gets to the point that some people either 1.) feel and he beats them to it or 2.) posts what others don't because of political leanings of others on the boards.  I've heard about many different things regarding these issues and having read up on some I find them highly unlikely.  One of the issues with the moon landing is that we could not have left our atmosphere, which I thought was amusing.  With 9/11 he is right.  Aside from the planes hitting the buildings, intense fires in the buildings (note the fact that I mentioned a college fire burnt at 1300 degrees accelerated by CHAIRS; many of those in the WTC) and the number of payoffs that would never happen.  There is no way to keep that many people quiet for this long and those people on the planes that supposedly landed would not do that to their families, for the greater good.

Have fun bashing a good poster for having an opinion while other posters hurl insulting comments regularly with their posts.

conspiricy scripicy

this is what comes up when you google holocaust hoax:

Is the Holocaust a Hoax?

Within five minutes, any intelligent, open-minded person can be convinced that the Holocaust gassings of World War II are a profitable hoax.

Fred A. Leuchter is America's leading specialist on the design and fabrication of execution equipment, including homicidal gas chambers. In 1988, Leuchter scraped samples from the alleged gas chamber walls in Auschwitz, Birkenau and Lublin. Cyanide residue would be clearly evident on all these walls if gassings did occur. To his astonishment, Leuchter found no significant cyanide traces in any one of these rooms.

In 1991, the Polish government repeated these tests to disprove Leuchter's findings, but they as well found no evidence of any gassings ever occurring.

The structural integrity of these "gas chambers" is also extremely faulty. These rooms have ordinary doors and windows which are not hermetically sealed! There are large gaps between the floors and doors. If the Germans had attempted to gas anyone in these rooms, they would have died themselves, as the gas would have leaked and contaminated the entire area. Also, no equipment exists to exhaust the air-gas mixture from these buildings. Nothing was made to introduce or distribute the gas throughout the chambers. There are no provisions to prevent condensation of gas on the walls, floors or ceilings. No exhaust stacks have ever existed.

Though six million Jews supposedly died in the gas chambers, not one body has ever been autopsied and found to have died of gas poisoning. We have been shown piles of bodies from World War II, but most of these persons died of typhus or starvation or Allied bombings and a great many of those were murdered Germans, not Jews. Roughly the equivalent of ten football fields should be packed full of gassed bodies to present as evidence, yet not one body has ever been discovered.

The Germans documented everything in meticulous detail from shrubbery to arbors, but no pre-war or wartime plans or documents exist that detail or even mention any gas chambers for reasons of genocide. All documents ever presented were drawn up AFTER the war.

Even if we threw away all the evidence and accounted for every so-called gas chamber, it would have taken 68 YEARS to accomplish gassing six million Jews!

Even The Diary of Anne Frank is a hoax. Portions of the diary were written with a ball point pen. These pens were not in use at the time Anne Frank lived.

It is not denied concentration camps existed. Tragically, many died of typhus or starvation, as often happens in such situations. There is, however, no evidence that any gassings occurred for the reasons of genocide.

Israel continues to receive trillions of dollars worldwide as retribution for Holocaust gassings. Our country has donated more money to Israel than to any other country in the history of the world -- over $35 billion per year, everything included. If not for our extravagantly generous gifts to Israel, every family in America could afford a brand new Mercedes Benz. Surely the American people

blah blah blah.

perhaps several of us are to harsh with people's opinons.  I blow my lid from time to time sometimes called for, sometimes not... Several people invite this stuff with outright mockery instead of saying hey, you have a thought lets get to the bottom of this and see if we can find a truth. It sure would be nice if we all just treated opinions with a degree of respect even if we disagree and sought to debate in order to come to truth rather than just tell the person they're stupid.  I think we all have our faults in this area.

It sure would be nice if we all just treated opinions with a degree of respect even if we disagree and sought to debate in order to come to truth rather than just tell the person they're stupid.  I think we all have our faults in this area.

I agree.
