Bob and I were in Teen Tall Class.

I was 17, Bob was 15.

I took 8th...Bob I think 4th. You could already see his potential and he looked like a man among boys.

He had very thick legs, arms and back. I still have the magazine the show put out with all the competitors photos in it.

For someone to still be a champion (NY PRO Masters 2006) so many years later speaks volumes for his fortitude and integrity.

Why does it prove that he has integrity though?

 I know guys Bob's age who look great and are completely natural..I could just as easily praise their fortitude and integrity.

Chic competed for 25 years.  OJ Simpson would have played 25 years if his knees had allowed it.  Michael Vick would have played 25 years if his friends hadn't gotten so chatty with the feds. BETIL Fox would have competed 25 years if those women hadn't been mouthy.  Craig Titus DID compete in professional bodybuilding for nearly that long. 

The point is, people here can either love, or hate, Bob Chic...but using the # of years he competed to decide this is silly.  They should make their decision based upon what Bob says and does.  Not because he competed for X years.

I have competed with heavy gear and totally without.

I did much better without.

I guess I never had the receptors to really benefit from the stuff.

All the time, however, I worked really hard.

Bob works really hard.

Clean guys work really hard.

I tend to look at work ethic as the best baraometer when judging integrity.

I am not saying drugs are okay.

I have never had a beer. I won't rip on others if they have had a beer.

I am just saying Bob seems to get a lot of flak here, I don't know why (am relatively new here).

I agree, 240. But many of these mnouthy wiseacres have no lineage whatsoever to speak of.

Longevity lends to experience and expertise.

I'd rather listen to Joe Weider the Publisher than J. Cribbs the Publisher of defunct PUMP magazine (No offense to Joel).
