Nationally, Ron Paul hasn't really moved at all in the polls:

Fox:  3 percent
NBC:  4 percent
USA Today:  3 percent
Reuters/Zogby:  4 percent

how does he rank among donors?  Is he up top?

I don't understand how 4% of the people like in him polls, but more of them donate than to the other guys?  I don't understand how 1 in 25 people choose him in telephone polls, but he's WINNING 18 of 50 states here? (RP = yellow)

Corperately controlled polls mean nothing to me.....Beach Bum, are you blind? You have looked at the evidence posted im sure for a long time.....

You im afraid are a casualty of blind patriotism.....I admire your faith in this system of govt, i admire your zeal in you sharing your perception based on brainwashing propaganda....

In a time of war, you would charge the front lines with guns a blazin.....It is good to have people like you that do not question authority and do as your told.....

Either way, I hope you continue to look at the evidence....You do look at the evidence i assume.....

What i cannot understand is you try to discredit it all after viewing, when a certain percentage of americans do not even look at it at all....Why do you look at the evidence at all?

Hi Fascist Swine,

He is close to 19 million now and will likely finish the quarter with slightly over 19 million USD. All his donations are grass roots; no corporate packages, no bundle money, no commissions; just regular folks donating an average of $50. He has outraised every other Republican.

The reason why he doesn't show up in the 'scientific polls' is because most of the people supporting him are Independents like myself, disenfranchised Republicans who haven't participated in the process in years, defected Democrats and people who have never participated in politics their whole lives prior to Ron Paul's campaign. When they do polls they call up 70 year grannies, not virally infected internet freaks in their 20's and 30's.

hey, be nice.  I see the corporate takeover and imperialism as unstoppable, like cancer.  You don't like it, but you accepts its inevitably in anything that lives to be 250 years old.

Where do you predict Paul will place in Iowa?

I don't need to be nice; people like you sat back whilst National Socialism rose to power in Germany, spouting platitudes about its inevitability. One needs to fight the power, not give in to it and you have given in. You are a whimp. Your analogy with it being like the laws of gravity is utterly fatuous.

I don't know about Iowa; maybe 3rd. I think he will win New Hampshire and South Carolina though, as well as Nevada. My only worry is manipulation of the votes since everything is electonic these days.  :-\

Best that can be done is spreading the word to everyone you know....Lets say Ron Paul doesnt win the primaries...You think thats going to be the end of the movement? We have momentum going here....A mass collective is coming into view made up with thousands of americans....

Look at how out of touch Texas is... Yea, it is pretty interesting how someone only polling around 4 percent is cashing in with huge donations.  Beach Bum, this has to at least make you wonder.

lol.  Whoa Hoss.  All I did was post the poll numbers, so my "view" is Ron Paul is pulling 3 or 4 percent according to the two links I provided.  Hope this helps.   :)

Berserker it doesn't make me wonder.  This isn't unique.  Do you remember Phil Gramm?  Former Congressman.  Republican presidential candidate in 1996.  Raised something like $20 million.  Did not fare well in the primary.  At one point he was a frontrunner, finished near the bottom in Iowa, and quit shortly before or after New Hampshire.  That is what I predicted would probably happen with Ron Paul a while ago.  I could be wrong, but we'll see.  What I am certain of is if he finishes consistent with how he has been polling, the cries of conspiracy and rigged elections will be rampant by some.

Just to keep this Ron Paul thing in perspective, it took over 60 million votes to win the last presidential election.  I doubt he has garnered that kind of support yet.

Regarding this colored chart, I really don't know what to make of it.  Who participated in these straw polls?  Registered voters?  Likely voters?

In any event, we are less than two weeks away from the Iowa caucuses.  Let's see how accurate the national and local polls are versus these straw polls.

yea, the same for Howard Dean only Ron Paul unlike these two has never been remotely close to being a front runner.  Has it ever happened that someone who has slowly progressed from 1% to a lousy 4% received this much money and this much attention everywhere you turn?  I'm really not sure it has.  At least in my time, this has me asking what the hell.

I hear what you're saying.  He has done some remarkable things in the fundraising arena recently.  I don't know what his total war chest is, but I would imagine it's still much smaller than those of Rudy and Romney.  On the other hand, he probably has more money than Huckabee, who has left him in the dust in the polls.

He has definitely made himself relevant lately.  How that translates remains to be seen.  He has to do more than create a buzz.  He needs tens of millions of votes.

Anyone know of a website which tracks war chests and total funds raised and spent?

You'd think in this age of accountability, we wouldn't have to "imagine" who has what.
