I hear ya, it seems weird to me that Green Bay of all places would do this.   Do they really have that much of a prob?  I think Chicago or NYC would be the ones to do something like this.

Well, anyways that's good news that your department wouldn't do that.   Hopefully some elected official doesn't make you do it.
i can see why a larger department would do this,when i was in the DEA we had portable electronic fingerprinter that went to a direct codis(spelling) link.and we found a bunch of people falsely ID themselves.

it would also make allot of sense for cities who have bad warrant problems.
