We used to tell newbs at a place in Belguim that they had to skull one to be "in the club."
One guy actually made it (and kept it in).
If you're keen on the Belgian beers, Hoegaarden (correctly pronounced "who-har-den", but no one will know what you're talking about) is good and very drinkable on a hot day. Leffe makes some good stuff, but it's very flavorsome and borders on being syrupy, so not as good in the heat. Both are comparatively expensive in Aus. Then again so is Budweiser, so why not get the good stuff?
