muscle twitches?? supplements or nutrition?
« on: January 05, 2008, 10:08:47 AM »
Over the last week I have been getting twitches all over my body.  Been pretty stressed with school.  Could this be something in my diet or supplements?  On lipo 6, creatine, and just general vitamins and antioxidants.  Anyone else ever have this or know what it could be from?

Stress and stimulants (Lipo6) combo could be causing it. Especially if you are not eating enough as well.

fat burners can cause muscle twitches?  These twitches are pretty anoying and happen mostly at night when I lay down.  Is this normal or should I stop taking them

Stop the Lipo and then see if they go away. Try for a few days at least.

I think if you were stressed as well, that is more than likely the culprit.

Not usually, but I wouldn't rule it out.  It is very common for muscles to twitch involuntarily from fatigue after strenuous exercise or while under stress.  Eyelids and calves are very common and usually benign.  Electrolyte imbalance could be a culprit too.  Even caffeine...

good call on the electrolytes as well....

Know a figure competitor that has to take iron because her legs "twitch" when she sleeps.

Try ZMA before bed for night twitches and back off the Lipo 6 during the day. More cardio sometimes helps too. Make one change at a time, though, so you can tell which seems to be the remedy.

spot on, fasiculations are definitely caused by stress.

to remedy it you could try high dose magnesium and lots of bannanas(potassium), and oranges.

some cardio would help also.

My right lat was twitching while I was sleeping a few days ago. Kinda irritating.
