Females put up with a lot of crap and blatant discrimination - I won't even list as its endless...

Would you rather be an Aggressive,Vain,Sex on the Brain, Emotionally Detached Male ? It would be an easier life  ;)

Not to mention giving birth which is said to be the most painful thing a human body can endure. Also menopause, time of the month, etc. I am glad i'm a male.

Hmmm... you're beginning to make a tempting case, ...but when it comes down to it, what you're really asking is if we would be willing to forego agony & insanity 25% of the time, ...in exchange for agony & instantly 100% of the time. Doesn't seem like much of a contest there, ...especially since not all women have difficult ...um, ...relatives.  :)

In my previous profession, I was often paid more than the men doing the same job.

These days, I'm in network mktg, ...and there is no ceiling, ...pink, blue, glass or otherwise.

If you want a raise, ...you just give it to yourself!  :)

these are exceptions - the other 99.9 % are worse off being female as opposed to male - I think you would agree with that statement.

No I wouldn't. All kidding aside, I wouldn't want to be born male, and I don't agree with your 99.9% figure.
If this was 1608, 1708, 1808 or even 1908 ...perhaps. But this is 2008, ...and we've come a long way Baby!  ;)

Women are constantly facing a tougher life.

Wages are lower, medical, legal and social systems are made for men, et al.

Well men are the ones making it that way.  So why the hell would I want to be one of them?  I like to be part of the solution, not the problem.   :D

But seriously tho, Life is full of obstacles. Like poker, one adapts and plays the cards they've been dealt.
It just so happens we women are good at playing the cards we've been dealt.

I wasn't born in Saudi Arabia and I don't live there.

Rephrase the question to "Would you rather be born MALE if you were born in Saudi Arabia?
...and you might get a different response.

There are so many reasons why being a woman must surely be the choice you'd make if you were given one. 

Being a man would be awful.  You've got responsibilities, you have to be macho.  You need to learn how to fix a car and put shelves up. 

Me, I can go cry.  (Obviously I learned how to put shelves up when I was 16.

You have to go get a job, a good one even, and I can stay home and do the flowers.  And put shelves up.  Or hang on a sec, I can have an amazing career.  Or children or both. blahblah


You blokes have to get a hard on and then figure out what to do with it. 

All I have to do is lie there and you're happy.

Very good point. Not to mention that in a lot of countries, women are considered a liablilty. In the middle east they get treated like shit. Verbal and physical abuse is a normal everyday life for a woman over there. Terrible.

I live in England and you live in America.

Unfortunately we are not talking about the same thing.  I doubt you have an inkling about what it might be to be a muslim woman living in a Muslim country.  Let alone a foreign woman escaping to live in a foreign country.

Obviously the best option would be to be a white woman in the Western world (nowadays...

There was a thing on the news this morning which made me laugh out loud about how Western men feel lost and hard done by.

Old news, if you ask me, because it's about time !
