The only part of the show that may have been scripted was the hosts commentary...and not even all of that was scripted. Even though the interviews sounded pretty cheesy...believe it or not...the competitors came up with that crap all by themselves. They know they are going to be interviewed so they tried to come up with catchy little smart slogans etc.
The Male gladiators don't look small to me, I was on set and they are pretty freakin big and they are definately in shape. Being big doesn't always equal athleticism....remember that. Each one brings a different element to the show, I personally love Wolf and his character. He plays it well, and Mike just looks like your typical "gladiator" "warrior" he looks good on camera. Mayhem looks pretty intimidating and mean. Love the polonesian dude too and Justice is big as hell in person. I'm sure bigger guys tried out...but they probably didn't make it for a reason.
The female gladiators are all awesome! Very athletic and beautiful. Most of us knows them in person and know that they are wayyy prettier than the shitty pics on the website. Siren is good on pretty much all her events, Venon is hot as hell and very good on the rings, Crush is a monster on the joust, Stealth took that poor girl out in the first 15 sec in powerball, Helga should be doing a little better than she is, but Jamie is pretty kick ass too on the rings....
Remember....this show will never be like the "old AG" we will always be biase towards the original..that's human nature, but I don't think the show is a total bust at all. I thought it was very entertaining, and it's nice to see this type of show back on TV.
And seriously....can you guys learn a new word?? GAY is getting kinda old. Sounds like a few of you are a little insecure with your manhood!
