He looked way better once he finally managed to bring up his internal organs and intestines.

The gyno didn't hurt too.

These are some of my favorites from 1999..
I think his best year overall for size, cuts and proportion.
Check the upper thigh cuts in pic 1.
The split peaked bis in pic two.
Traps, legs and overall condition in # 3.
One of the top 3 backs of all time if not the best in pic #4.

If he still looked like that, he'd probably still be Mr. Olympia.

99 was a good year for Big Ron.
A few from the Grand Prix after the Olympia
where he was a bit bigger but holding a little more water.
(Not that you can tell much by the pics.)

One well respected writer described his condition
@ the 1999 Olympia as a walking anatomy chart.
Absolutely no Munzer but Munzer never carried close
to 260 pounds.
Striated intercostals in pic 1
Striated from the bottom of his pec all the way
to the back of his delts in pic 2.
From his kneck to calves - very defined in pic 3.
Pic 4 speaks for itself.

Last set here...
Although Ron was known as having a gut later
in his competitions he had very little of a gut in 1999
and a very small waist. Brian Buchanan is known as
having one of the smallest waists. (Almost too small
acording to some) but Ron in his prime had one of the best shoulder
to waist differentials.
2nd pic is a screencap of BB from the 88 Olympia.
Third pic is taken from a dig camera - therefore the pixelation.

the funny thing is I don't think he gained that much muscle from that shape.  These guys go from 220 or 230 to 260 or 270 mostly by adding bloat.

Those pics from the 1999 Olympia are UNREAL. I have never taken a good look at Olympias before 2000, maybe other than 1998 when he won the first time. That is the greatest physique I've ever seen on stage.

He must be the greatest of all time because I don't see how that is beatable!

If he still looked like that, he'd positively still be Mr. Olympia.

99 was ronnie's best year - he had the cuts of the AC, but with more size and fullness.

he looked a little flat in comparison to the AC.

from 99: :o
