BJ Penn guarantees win over Georges St. Pierre in rematch
« on: January 13, 2008, 07:26:54 AM »
“Fighting GSP is all I think about every day. A rematch would be very good and I’ll make sure that I will 100 per cent guarantee victory if we fight again…. I’d love to fight Matt Hughes again but I think he could walk away after his loss to St Pierre. If he does walk away from the sport, I wouldn’t be surprised after what happened the other night. Before his fight with Georges, I was really hoping I’d get another shot at Matt Hughes but after that fight, that was so embarrassing for him I don’t know how he’s going to rebound from that. I’d love to fight him again. If we can put the fight together somehow I’d love it but he’s also getting older so I don’t know what’s going to happen.” – Former welterweight champion BJ Penn

GSP would destroy him, just like Joe is going to do.

Everyone is probably waiting for you to make yours so they can copy. You pretty much get better every card, I wouldn't be surprised if you got them all right this time.

BJ will work Daddy, then get worked by GSP.
on another note he should just accept the fact that the got beat by Hughes, then tried to use a rib injury or whatever as an excuse.
Hughes should retire, he held the belt for a while.

Exactly, thanks for supporting my statement.  BJ has gotten a lot better over time.  Thanks I knew you would see it my way.  Ah yes I did get worse but I am getter so thats all that counts.

BJ needs to worry about Joe Stevenson before he even thinks about beating GSP. He is gonna have his hands full with Daddy.

GSP had a MAJOR eye poke in the 1st round of that fight.  Most would have succumbed to it.  Not only did he fight through it, but he also managed to beat BJ.  BJ is awesome, but GSP is better.

It looked like more than his eye was hit after the fight.  And BJ no way would have won a decision in that fight.  If I remember right that was the first fight after the Penns sued Dana White and won (i think out of court).  No way would BJ have won that fight unless he knocked GSP out.  But I would love to see them fight again and they will.

Penn is smoking crack if he thinks he's even close to GSP's level at the moment..
there's no way in hell he'll be beating GSP.

Motivated BJ is veeeery danderous. He will disturb GSP's riddum.  (In best French Canadian accent) He was giving Machida a go of it, while giving up 25+.  I think BJ will win a rematch with GSP.

Oh brother ::)  His eye was severely poked at the beginning of the 1st round, which hampered his eye sight and caused him to lose his focus.  He still managed to regain composure and dominate BJ for two rounds pulling off the decision.  I'll concede that it was close, but BJ got beat.

A rematch between these two would be awesome.  BJ seems to be taking his training way more seriously and GSP has improved big time in the last year.  I still think GSP would win...

gsp will dominate bj again, matt hughes will dominate bj agaiin, hell matt serra would beat bj, bj just needs to keep his mouth shut and figth at 155 where he is strong enough to beat other guys, he is just to weak to fight elite 170 lbs

I don't agree with that.  BJ dominated Hughes for 2 rounds and then came into round 3 with no gas and an allegedly separated rib.  If those two fought again, I would confidently put a lot of money down on BJ.  BJ has already beaten Serra.  I think he would dispose of him with ease if they ever fought again...

ur right about penn vs hughes one, just now remembered the fight, but do u think bj has to finish hughes in the first few rounds to win, or do u think he could survive long enough for a decision win?  i've never seen serra vs bj, do u know when that fight was
