Well said, CJ.  As for me, Ill give a fuck about africa when there are absolutely zero problems here in the US.  When I knoew for a fact that every LEGAL American citizen is clothed, fed, warm, as healthy as they can be with the insurance that every american has, and has a constant roof over their head(not a homeless shelter), then will I give a rats ass about africa.  i do feel commiseration for their plight, but I dont lose any sleep at night over it.

Can't imagine going about your day and being murdered for no apparent reason, and in such a disturbing way. How can one make an analogy between that and some kid dying because he didn't have food? Was that kid going to contribute as much to the world as someone working on Wall Street? No way. The lives of people in the west far outweigh the lives of people from 3rd world countries. That's my take on things.
