I was just thinking about how many real friends I have, and not just people I know. It's pretty pathetic how many people I consider true friends and how many people I know that I wouldn't want to even spend free time with.

Yeah my dad is one too. My brother is probably my best friend though.

I think i have about 10 close freinds .. the type who would say hello to me first or think of me when making a team so to speak.. but yeah its something i think of often.. "how many" or "who" lol... interesting topic

most people on average I'll bet have less than 5 friends

even these clowns with hundreds of myspace "friends", they aren't true friends that they can trust

My brother and some others that I hangout with on occasion.. They're friends because they respect who I am as a person, and are not merely people who comfort me with talk.

Bottom line is that most people you perceive as friends are just regular people you talk to. They give you comfort by talking so you put up with them. Eurl is right.
