Not necessarily...  the fact that it is stupid is the exact reason no one would ever take you seriously.  The very fact that you are talking about it makes one assume you're less likely to be an actual serial killer, not more likely.

So...where does Debussy live?  We need to check the jurisdiction for unsolved homicides involving the homeless.  ;D

just the opposite. killers always talk about their crime before they commit it. just like the vt killer, the mall shooting, columbine. they all talked about it on the internet before they went psycho. a premeditated crime always go is order, thoughts-words-actions

which is why you shouldnt joke about it. even if your just fucking around

The odds of a Bateman like serial killer = Just highly improbable.

He is too careless and gets away by chance and luck, which don't always work in people's favor. And being that methodical while managing other things in life would take a person of very high intelligence and great cunning.

Duh.. This is the information age.. Word spreads like wildfire.

The planning = easy. You just have to be very methodical in your approach, and crisis anthisipate everything.

That is complete and utter horseshit. You are making an absolute statement, but the reality = another one. Most killers don't talk about it.

We're not talking about mall and school shootings, but serial killers. I doubt Ted Bundy went around telling people before he killed various women.

Debussey = lives in teh alien spaceship (but will soon take a trip to Sidney to "visit" Vince Basile)

Hear that, Basile?  A possible serial killer who lives in a spaceship might visit you!  Good thing you have all that "safety fat" to protect you from Debussey.  ;D

That safety fat will work against him if the method of murder is turning his ball shaped body on the side, and rolling him down a 1 mile road like a bowling ball. The speeds he'll reach = mindblowing.

LOL!

Well, being an aspiring serial killer, Debussey must not have had much time to bone up on his spelling skills.

This is exactly why I will never work for anyone for the rest of my life.

Potential employer: "So Matt, we were looking at your myspace and..."
Matt C: "Go fuck yourself." *leaves*

I just can't tolerate anyone giving me orders or telling me what to do or feeling that they are in any way control of me or my decisions in life.  I have so many miserable experiences from the army that even years later I still feel this way.
Matt,

You should come on BIG NATION and tell some of your Canadian "war stories", whatever the hell that means. Seriously though, I know most Canadians are alcoholics, so I picture being in the military there as being surrounded by redneck, drunk guys who think it's funny to take a piss on their buddies' face when they pass out. I'd love to hear some stories!

nypd homicide > debussey

NYPD homocide deals with random killings from spurts of rage and drug/gang related killings.

WE'RE talking about killers that do it for pleasure. Not even mobsters, who often plan things out way ahead of time.

Are you saying MattC's service to his nation consisted of him having shots of Crown Royal and seeing how many bears he could kill with his rifle while drunk?

I worked with a guy who sent a porn file to a prospective employer instead of his resume.

When he realised what he'd done the next day, he sent another email apologising for the mistake and explaining it happened because he was drunk when he sent it.

Needless to say, they didn't call him in for an interview.

Good question considering your board name.

Bizarelly, I never asked him to show the pic he sent... that's quite unlike me... damn... >:(

I've got 2 engineers openings right now and going throught resumes. One of the first thing my HR girl does is check them out on myspace.

So far, we rejected about 12 candidates because of what we saw.

So you rejected 12 candidates because they put they were straight :-\...Don't sweat it fat man, i'm sure you will get what your looking for by weeks end...You'll be gargling unknown balls in the back of your hummer in no time flat...

you're not an idiot if you use your real name, using a fake name defeats the whole purpose of myspace

you're an idiot if your profile isn't private

Pretending to be a corporate drone (and being around drones) depresses me and makes me want to top myself.

So with that in mind, I categorically will not work as an employee (contractor yes) for any corporate.

In a perfect world I'd never have to deal with marketing scum either.  Leprous pieces of shit.

I am currently unemployed by the way ;D

Well, you'll find most Jews are more than satisfied with just regular genocide. Not our Ed. He's a trooper.

Alex23 is Back:

Do you check their credit reports as well?  If not, don't you think that would be more useful that what someone may or may not say on a website in cyberspace?

I have mixed feelings about drawing conclusions about a potential employee based websites like myspace.  Is the information vetted?  Reliable?  Is it really authored by the person you think authored it?  If they don’t have myspace account does that mean they will be a better employee than one who has a racy one?  No.

If you look into any one’s life closely enough, one can find objectionable material, but is that the role of a potential employer?  If someone has premarital sex or a child out of wedlock should an employer try to find that out and use it to make a decision before hiring the person?  That used to be considered very relevant information.  Does the person make reliable child support payments?  What if the person has unnaturally large muscles due to . . . (you suspect) steroids?  What if the person carries a gene for an illness that could be very costly to an insurance company down the road?

Digging into some one’s life (outside of their performance on the job) is a slippery slope and one has to draw the line somewhere.  Even looking at some one’s credit report is somewhat dubious.  I think screening people based on a myspace page is misguided. :-\

btw, I am not on myspace, friendster, or any of those sites.

I wonder how many companies actually search myspace to check a potential applicants "character?"
