There's a Doctor from the University of Maryland that's working on trying ot cure him.
The f'ed up part is how his countries health officials have reacted...
"Siti Fadilah Supari, Indonesia's health minister, fiercely attacked Dr. Gaspari for trying to treat Dede. She was angered that Dr. Gaspari would take blood and tissue samples without consulting her as Indonesia's minister of health and suggested that such samples could be used to develop a vaccine that the poor could not afford.
"We did take samples, and the reason we did was to render a diagnosis. We did it for humanitarian reasons, to help the patient," Dr Gaspari said, stressing his willingness to put in writing that the samples were not for commercial use.
Following the reaction of Indonesia's health minister, Dede mysteriously declined free treatment by Dr. Gaspari despite his many previous statements on camera saying that he wanted Dr. Gaspari to treat him. Dede's father can also be seen at the end of the Discovery Channel documentary reaffirmming his son's desire to undergo Dr. Gaspari's treatment.
Health minister Siti Fadilah Supari is infamous for refusing to share bird flu samples with international scientists despite the fact that Indonesia is one of the countries hardest hit by the deadly H5N1 strain of the virus, with a total of 91 recorded human deaths."
