This man built the best physique ever seen. It was perfect in terms of mass and symmetry, he had no weak points. A vision of pure power and muscularity with the best abs in the history of the sport.
After being denied his rightful Olympia in 97, by 1999 Nasser was Arnold Classic champion and the best one ever seen.
Yet after this glorious victory he was marked down. Suddenly the 2nds and 1sts became 6ths and 5ths. Why? Because there was a distinct point where America began its demonisation of Arabs. In the prelude to 9/11 there was a sharp and palpable hatred and mistrust towards Arabs in the media and from Bush's government. I believe even at this point Bush was hatching his plan to launch an invasion to secure favorable oil rates with his puppet government in Iraq. This anti-Arabism spewed into the Jewish run IFBB . We could not have an Arab be Mr Olympia. It simply could not be acceptable in the current climate.
Then, after the twin towers fell, Nasser El Sonbaty was coming 9th,14th and 15th. This was racism pure and simple. No way does one of the greatest physiques ever seen go from being uncrowned Mr Olympia and Arnold Classic victor to nothing in just 1 or 2 years.
Have a look and a think about it. Keep your mind open and free from bias and you shall see that the most promising bodybuilder on the scene suddenly went to also ran overnight. The twin towers falling marked the end of Nasser's chances of ever being judged on his physique alone.
