Sounds about right (Unless the facts of the case are different than what we're assuming).

Most of us are probably more familiar with criminal law than we are with immigration law, though.  As far as I know, if you're not a permanent resident and you get convicted of anything at all, you're deported.  For how long is the unknown fact.
