« on: January 21, 2008, 02:11:30 PM »
Help Ron Paul's campaign with a donation today! Any amount helps. They are trying to break the record they made last time they had a money bomb.

Learn about Ron PAul and how he can help America get back on the right path. Thanks.

The guy who's against pro choice?

The guy who wants USA to get out of UN?

Find a canidate that's perfect.

If you listened to him speak you'd know theres no way he would write anything like what was in those news letters.

He isnt "against pro choice". He just thinks the Federal goverment has nothing to do with making decisions on abortion. Its a State issue.

Yeah, fuck the UN, as far as I'm concerned its a paper tiger that doesnt do shit to help a lot of the countires they occupy. They just sit around and watch people blow themselves up and document it.

Well, our choice over here is between one man who follows the constitution and a bunch of corporate fascists and warmongers.  I look at it this way, the craziest stuff he wants, won't fly no matter how much he wants it to happen, so that just leaves the constitutionalist.

And look at the Americans in this thread defend him.

It's a sad state of affairs when such a man is the best candidate :-\

In fact it's not sad, it's down right disgusting.

Yes, its disgusting that Americans are so far removed from understanding the Constitution that they will bash the only candidate that defends it.

With a guy like Ron Paul running the US of A, a depression isn't a risk, it's a shoe-in.

Well that's bollocks to some degree.

What portion of Americans really have an understanding of the Constitution? You guys always vote with your hearts instead of your heads.

The Constitution was written 200+ years ago and is far from a perfect document.

Of course it has room for improvement.

What? You believe the constitution to be infallible?

Do you think it's doctrine will still be applicable 500 years from now?

But to state nothing within the text of the constitution cannot be improved is ridiculous.

Exactly; with policies such as stop spending a trillion dollars a year overseas, stopping wasteful spending in general and not overprinting money; definitely a shoe-in....no, we definitely need more Bushes in office, don't you agree northman?

Funny, I've heard quite a few anaylists mention depression several of them mentioning that it easily has the potential to be as bad as the great depression.  I personally don't see how preventing more manufacturing jobs from vacating is going to hurt us. ::) As Bush shows, you don't need a libertarian protectionist to launch us into the perfect storm for depression.  You guys make it sound like he's going halt everything and shoot anyone who crosses the border either way, stop with the dramatics please.

Thank you for your honesty.

Change for the sake of change is a very dangerous principle to live by.

We have already heavily destroyed our system of checks and balances with the 17th amendment.  I would repeal the 16th and 17th amendment (adopted post 1913) as they have done the most damage to our personal liberty.

So yes, we have done much damage to the document since its ratification.

To understand the Constitution and Declaration of Independence is to understand the proper role of Government.

Government = Force

Force is great in regards to National Defence, and Police to protect your life, liberty, and your property.

Force brings with it an infinite amount of unintended consequences when it is used to take from one individual and give to another.

"let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution." - Thomas Jefferson

Ron Paul is an advocate of Personal Liberty and Personal Responsibility

This message usually doesn't sit well with those that think the proper role of Government is to do things for them.
