Regardless of who takes the presidency, Iraq WILL BE patrolled by us for at least the next decade. Tribal wars will destroy the weak 'government', that has been formed there. Do you want another Taliban to take the reigns? Iran is a country run by Islamic extremists. They do not believe in compromise because to compromise would shame 'Allah Vera' or whoever the fuck they worship. The people of Iran take great pride in the fact that they defy the US. Unless a great pioneer of democracy emerges, challenges the government, survives said challenge and then survives his campaign(see Benazir Bhutto), Iran will have to be dealt with just as Iraq was. Let's also not forget the fact that that 'savior', would actually have to find some way into office seeing as how they don't exactly just drop a ballot. Do you honestly think that they have stopped their quest for nuclear armament just because they told us so?
