While Ron Paul is not going to be getting the nomination, hopefully some of his message has gotten through to people. This current deficit spending, easy credit for everyone, and a Service economy are all not good for the long term economic health of the US.
It's quite simple, really. Currency backed up by a physical commodity(to control money creation), a strong industrial base, savings, and smart, Pro-US policies is what built the US and would keep it strong. Anyone who votes for candidates that favor Free Trade are voting against their own financial well-interests.
Just down the road from me a huge Home Depot center, with surrounding Walgreens and shopping plazas were built. One block away, condos/townhomes were being built to be sold for half a million dollars(just a half mile from a landfill of all places). My wife said, well, at least jobs will be created here! Yea, but how much do you expect some schmuck who works here to make? 9-10 bucks an hour if he's lucky, with little motivation to receive health benefits as it is comical to get it making that amount of money, and no job security. And then you'll have the FUCKING GODDAMNED IDIOTS get a mortgage for those condos/townhomes built with cheap labor and be paying out the ass for the rest of their lives..as well as that brutal Florida insurance and property tax.
