McCain was once a hero. More recently he's turned into a "pandering son of a bitch" (to borrow a phrase from my grandfather).
All Americans with any kind of influence know the value of the military-industry complex. And someone who went to Harvard Law, and was able to persuade the elite of its student body to give him one of the most prestigious positions at that school knows it too. Do you think we're just going to shut down Boeing and NASA if someone other than McCain is elected? No president has that much power in a federal system.
