Fedor too boring for the USA
« on: January 28, 2008, 05:16:02 AM »
Fedor will never get very popular in teh US, he's too chicken and too boring. he rather fight some schmoes in japan. he doesnt have the balls to stand and fight. most of his wins are either boring decisions losses or he wins by armbar.

People dont want that. Then Machida would be one fo the most popular guys already.

People want the Anderson Silvas and the Chuck Liddells. You think Iceman would be as popular if all his wins was armbars and decisions?  ::)

Semmy takes a flight to a dead man's town
No kicks will be exchanged cause Fedor will take him to the ground
You end up like a dog that's been submitted too much
'Til you spend half of the fight just covering up

Boooooored in the USA
Boooooooored in the USA now
Booooooored in the USA
The crowd was Booooored in the USA now

I got in a little cagefight jam
And Fedor was too chicken to throw hands
They sent me off to K-1 in Japan
To headkick and KO the yellow man

Booooooooored in the USA
Booooooooored in the USA

I have to disagree with the boring part I have watched many of Fedor's fights and found them very exciting and entertaining but the way someone feels about a fighter is their opinion. I think once Machida starts getting into the title mix his popularity will become greater.

I am a real big fan of Liddells and Silva's style of fighting but I really do think the ground game is a totally underappreciated part of MMA. I think people really dont appreciate the skill it takes to set soemone up for a submission. Anyway we all have our opinions on what for an exciting fight some people's flavor is the Knockout/TKO some like seeing crazy submissions.

This just goes to prove you have no love for the sport as a whole. You only like when guys are standing throwing hands, you should go back to watching boxing, or like someone else mentioned K1. Fedor has had some great fights. The Crocop one being my fav. as they both went all out and gave a 100%.

Why do you co-mod this board again. You know nothing and this post proves it even more. The fact that you show you arent a fan of any ground game show's how in the unknown you are about the sport as a whole. I think that you should just start watching the new leauge of Chuck Norris and leave the ground game and the rest of the UFC to us who appreciate all aspects of the game.

So with your logic, a fighter that is just about the ground game or a fighter that just fights standing has no love for the sport?  :D

Yeah that is my point. No FUCKTARD I am talking about fans. I can't stand tards like you who boo when it goes to the ground. It's called Mixed martial arts. That means that your style should be mixed. I am not saying a fighter who only trains one art doesn't have any love, but I will say it is more then likely that they won't go to far..

Hence Houston....

People favor KO's over submissions. And Fedor doesn't bring it.

i don't think fedor is boring at all but i do agree that american fans will think he is boring compared to chuck or rampage

not knowing english well and being mild mannered doesn't help, tito is a boring fighter but he talks smack

american fans like the classless trash talkers that use the f word excessively ::)

I don't think thats true at all,the more popular MMA gets, the more fans learn to appreciate the technical aspect of it all, that's why hardcore fans appreciate guys like nick and nate diaz, and guys like fedor who can pull a submission out of their ass when they look like they're on the verge of taking a beating....

boxing fans and MMA newbys look for knockouts......

the more seasoned MMA fans wanna see guy's THINKING in there !

very well put.. I love the Diaz boys. Nick has quite a future in the sport if he keeps it up. The kid is a submission machine.

Bluto, watch this video. How can you say Fedor is a boring fighter? The American MMA fans would love Fedor.
He would also destroy any heavyweight in the UFC.

Fedor either fights a lot of cans or when he's put against tough competition he can't finish them. That's not very exciting IMO

I used to think that it would be a shame if Fedor didn't come over and fight in the UFC and prove he was the best. Now I am not so sure. I mean Fedor has been fighting cans, but the UFC HW's all suck now anyway. Other than Randy, who do you guys want to see Fedor fight?

He can't finish them? It seems to me, he has finished all of his fights. ::)

It's funny how Fedor has become an underdog, with a perfect record. ::)
