This show is the greatest. I can see maybe the american idol finalist getting sober, but Marie Carie??? Please. Shes made her life off porno and being a party whore. Itd be impossible for her to survive without her lifestyle. I guess she is educated though has a degree in something.

I doubt she will get sober, she doesn't have the support system imo. She is young and of course young people are going to go to the bar etc. I can see Brigitte getting sober, she wants to do it for her kids and her husband is supportive. The pot smoking girl will eventually realize that smoking pot isn't even that bad for you, so I doubt she will get sober. Chyna and Mary Carey- no way. Shifty may succeed I suppose, even if he stops with the crack and just drinks alcohol it will be a major success. There is no way, no how Jeff will ever be sober. He started with the painkillers in 1978, thats 30 years of abuse. Daniel is still using as evidence by the test he admitted he flunked. That guy is a real mess, I have been reading about him for years. Ricco, who cares? It's a good show though. Dr. Drew is coming across real well imo.

Yeah that's Shifty. They are getting paid for sure. I would guess between 30 and 50 grand for the whole show.

I wonder if they don't get paid if they leave....like Daniel.  The show is interesting and I think it could be good for some people to see it but it does seem somewhat exploitative.  Especially for the ones that signed on to do the show while drunk/drugged out at the time.

Reality shows sometimes pay you by the week. Like I think Big Brother pays $1500 a week to people. That was the conclusion of one week so Daniel would get paid for that, but not for the whole time there. This all all speculation of course.

Conaway is a disaster, all those stories he told about him being abused were awful i cant blame the guy for wanting to be rocked 24/7.  I wouldnt wanna think about that kind of abuse either.    All of the younger patients are out of their minds thinking they can even be part of the scene they are in and not use.

Thats how some programs work. 28 days of in patient and then many months/ years of out patient, meetings, 12 steps etc. The best thing about rehab is they will help you detox, but after a week or so theres not much they can do for you in there. I am just glad that this show doesn't talk about the 12 steps. That shit bores me.

12 steps is a joke imo. I have been to rehab a few times and they tried to push that stupid shit. Fuck that, not sure how that nonsense keeps you sober. As far as my hobbies, I am 22 days off opiates and all other drugs except for benzos,( I will always take Valiums or Xanax for anxiety). I was spending way too much money on opiates.  The thing about taking Vikes, Percs etc. is that they make you high for a while, but eventually you need to take them just to feel normal and function. I was spending between 40 and 80 bucks a day, just to feel normal. And much more than that when I wanted to get high. It's really quite stupid. In the past 3 weeks I have bought a new big screen TV and laptop. Being sober saves me a lot of money.

Ive tried to quit drinking but I have a hard time keeping entertained without it so I just accepted the fact that I love to go out and sloshed but i try to not let it ruin my health. But I know I am going to want to get high as hell when the warm weather gets here and I am out on the boat, beaches, bars etc. Hopefully by then I won't crave opiates so badly. So far so good though.

While the subject is up, i just got "diagnosed" with ADD and was perscribed Adderol. i picked up the perscription the other day and was given the generic brand called EON. does the brand matter? any other suggestions for specific brands.

I don't know about EON but Adderol is pretty good. I am assuming they prescribed you 20 mgs. 3 times a day? If so, take 2 pills when you get up and 1 at lunch or you will have a hard time sleeping.

They started me with 10mgs but my doc said he's just trying to find what amount i need for now. i want the 20's, pretty sure he'll give them to me. do i ask for Adderol the brand at the Pharmacist?
