the websites are fine, but it would be better to combine all the upper flash objects into a single menu bar object.

Actually it gives me more flexibility to make changes later.  Once you do a flash object, it can be a lot of work to make changes to it.

use FlexBuilder, that is do it all with actionscript rather than the timeline

Here is a tip from somebody who has done a view pages as well...

Never ever do any stuff on the webpage in Flash if you need to update that part all the time.
