I trained at the same gym as Matt for a year. I have NEVER and I mean NEVER scene him do and exercises that didn't involve a freeweight or cable. When I asked him why he trained like that he told me it keeps him lean? He must have amazing genetics because his training habits leave alot to be desired.
lol i don't remember sayin training with cables keeps me lean lol? thats makes no sense!. The only free weight i use is t-bar rows where i stack on 6 plates. Other then that its all machines or plate loaded equipment. I use some dumbells for arms and tricep extensions. I get a better pump with machines, I'm all about getting a good pump. And i don't think its my genetics that enables me to get a physique like mine, its just knowing how to properly train and stimulate the muscles with the right exercise. Just like Milos does, he doesn't use extremely heavy weights, just good concentration and form. In the long run I'll save my joint by not going super heavy. I lift heavy in some basic compound movements like barebell rows, t-bar rows, squats, leg press etc..
If i can attain this with machines, then why not
