Ummm....yeah except enormous respect from every star and legend he worked with. He was widely regarded as one of the top few best actors of his generation by the entire industry.

That's true. That role is not exactly one that you just randomly give out to whoever auditions for it. It's not exactly hard to walk in Jack Nicholson's shoes and not only did Ledger do that, it's possible that he outdid Jack.
