Science of Steriods
« on: February 03, 2008, 07:06:23 PM »
on National Geographic Channel NOW

Sunday, February 3, 2008, at 10P
It is one of the most controversial issues of our day, jeopardizing the health and smearing the reputations of Olympians, professional sports players and even high school athletes. The government has declared them illegal without a prescription, athletes call them unfair, and some doctors say they are potentially deadly. What are the real dangers of these drugs? We've seen what's happening outside the body; now NGC reveals what's happening inside the body, in the Science of Steroids.
Also airs:

Just got over with... still had an undertone of the whole bullshit "steroids are evil" vibe... all in all, it was fairly objective... the first half of the program defended steroids, the second part showed what can happen if steroids are abused (massive amounts, or consistantly used with no off periods using pct, or both) and also why teenagers shouldn't take them (the Hooten poster boy again).  At least its better than watching a regular segment about steroids on ESPN or in congress...

Steroids are good?  I thought the existence of Dave Palumbo negated that idea.
