For some reason I never like Phil's tan, his mid section is always extremely dark when compared to his other body parts

I think thats intentional to make his midsection look smaller. Flex used to do a similar illusion when he would only put oil on his quads and not his inner thighs. Guess he thought it made the quads stand out more, just seemed distracting to me.
