Last night on the TV show "Celebrity Rehab" the Dr. told Chyna{the ex-wrestler} that steroids were an addictive drug and that they would lead the use of other narcotics.

anyone else hear of this,or believe it

YES! im not saying from a scintific point of view, but most of friend went down that path. one of friends started with T at age 21, HGH, T3, Clen and every other thing, ,he finished 2nd in super heavy weights at NPC show, then he started smoking and coke and ecstacy... he died 4 months ago, collapsed at a nightclub and pronounced dead at the hospital an hour later.

They have no addictive qualities at all. A steroid user that's never used a rec drug doesnt just go out and start doing coke or heroin

Kind of makes sense. On the juice, can't sleep. Take nubain, or valium, voila....sleep. Too tired from shooting nubain, need a pickmeup, do a line of Meth. Your up.

I am absolute convinced that Steroids will if the opportunity is there lead to other drugs.

i can see that it can.

taking something to get more energy. then something to help with sleep. when body starts to hurt take painkillers. and being used to use needles they might be more open to inject other substances. side effects from steroid use, for some, may be depression etc so they may take something to battle that.
list goes on.

WTF are you talking about? It's the person that choses to do the drugs. Steroids dont lead them to other drugs. How many people have only done steroids and never any rec drugs. It's individual choice

No they do not lead to other drugs. Its all in the individual. Steroids are not addictive. The feeling you have when on them can be if you are one of those people that needs gas constantly to workout.

well for my personal experience the "average gym rat" is a drug user of some kind. if they aren't taking 'roids there are smoking grass, drinking alcohol (that's me by the way), or taking some kind of uppers or downers, and i know at least a few guys who partake in all of the previously named activities

anyhthng can LEAD to anything... people look to hard for connections/ gateways

had a friend that went from fruit loops to oxycontin....did the fruit loops LEAD to oxy?

I agree with Stark here. Don't anybody faint!

He never said it WOULD, he said it COULD.

Steroids = increased strength, increased danger to connective tissue. Injury, in the rright person, could lead to use, overuse, and eventual abuse, of painkillers, narcotics, Nubain etc...

This is in no way an indictment of the drug itself. I do think that in the hands of an obsessive/addictive personality, the inability to let go of gains long enough to let an injury heal could open a doorway that leads to narcotics abuse.

Many people smoke pot once, snort one line, take one shot...whatever, than never do so again. Many others hit something once, and they're hooked. I smoked week once in college. All I got out of it was uncontrollable laughter and the desire to eat everything in sight. In face, I ended up cross-legged in the kitchen floor in front of my friend's fridge, cleaning it out! I didn't like it and never did it again. someone else might have gotten hooked. It's a very individual phenomenon.

That chick is in total denial, they still don't even know why she is even there, she will not admit to anything...and the funny thing is she was probably doing more shit then anybody thats there, she was an alcoholic, steroid user, I'm sure she used pain killers, she says she used sleep medication (but wasn't addicted

and who knows what else, I would doubt some cocain use along with other various rec drugs..
