King Kamali Pity thread
« on: February 11, 2008, 11:49:55 AM »
King is doing the Ironman, and it seems that no one has hoticed.

There is no hype.  There is no excitement.  There are no "2 week out pics".  There are no promises of an "alltime best".  There isn't even any bashing by the kids in the 'peanut gallery'.

Is it possible that King doesn't matter anymore?

Muscletech has dropped him.  He hasn't placed in the money in two years.  Last year, the pics revealed what looked like an abundance of oil in his arms, and his trainer Disgusted wouldn't even deny King used oil, just that *he* didn't give it to King.

Will 2008 be the last year for King?

He will likely place 10th thru 13th at the ironman (very possible considering the top 5 are Olympians).  He likely won't qualify for the Olympia again, he likely won't place top 5 at a small show again.  No major company will sign a guy who saw his best over 7 years ago.

He was once a loud, middle-tier bodybuilder who never backed down from a challenge.  After attempting to "call out" world class bodybuilder Dennis Wolf - which Wolf wisely ignored, as it was nothing more than an attempt to steal some of his light - not even the boards cared about King.

What's next for King Kamali?

King will continue to train and compete to prove the haters wrong. Palumboism won't slow him down! His best is yet to come!

King's in a no-win situation.

If he shoots oil in his arms, there will be a dozen keyboard warriors analyzing every pixel of his arm for the change.  If he DOES NOT, his arms will look like sticks compared to last year.

We all remember his veryyyyyy fast dbl biceps pose last year, because he didn't want them photographed, as the oil was beyond obvious.

As far as the stomach distension, well...

Sick traps!

Judging by the diaper and trailer like wood panelling...I'm guessing this guy leads a pretty poor quality of life.  He finally shines though today, on getbig.com!  Never let go of your dreams kids.  You too, can be the heart of a getbig thread. ;)

LOL

I think King is constantly trying to get back his 2001 shape and doesn't realize that Palumboism is an irreversable disease.

I was watching the 2001 Arnold Classic last night
and King looked very good. There have been so many
potential great bodybuilders who have ruined their physiques
by trying to put on size too fast. They showed a lot of backstage
footage and I would say over half of the competitors had somewhat
of a gut that stuck out further than their chest when walking around
backstage. I'm sure it's worse now 7 years later. I can't imagine what
he could do at this point to be better. I'm not a trainer but if I had been
him I would have gotten off everything and shrank to a more fitness type
physique and see if the stomach and obliques came down with it. If they
did I would take a year to build back slowly the lost muscle and concentrate
on keeping the waist small. Hind sight is always 20/20 though.
