Dog Food
« on: February 15, 2008, 01:57:52 AM »
I had been feeding my doogies timberwolf organics but then I moved and the only option was to order it online at near 100 bucks including shipping-no freaking way.  I don't mind 50-60 a bag so I found Innova Evo, higher protein at about the same cost.  Man, the dooogie farts are terrible!  I suspect this is normal and will adjust when the dog's digestive system enzymes adjust to the new food.  But holy hell,.... poofy stinky :D

ask stella, she'll post em.  I think she might have already.  I don't think I want to go up to the price of real meat.  What I have them on now has to be a far cry better than the crap fed to most dogs.

ok, that's lazy of me, I'll post some pics.  Just don't make fun of my pups.  You can call me every evil thing in the world, take anything you want out on me, but my doogies are innocent.  Don't blame them for myh antics, attack me if you must attack.  Please.

Zoey on the left, Willow on the right.  Zoey doesn't like cameras :D

oh they would be your type.  they're brilliant.  These muts are a mix of several working dogs.  The intellegence level of these poochies is unrealistic and not what I thought possible in a dog.  They sought ways to communicate with me, I shit you not.  Willow being the most insane one, she came up with her own signing expressions.  Dang dog tries to teach me tricks :D

Are you serious?  Reminds me of 2 brothers at my church that look nothing alike.  One looks exactly like the mom and the other looks exactly like the dad who also look nothing alike.

The rest of the litter came out like willow, 3 looked like willow  and two of them looked like willow except having light hair, then zoey was the runt and looks nothing like the others.  She was my mother's dog.  She was much smaller of course and she couldn't get to the food bowl through the others so she would climb and force until she landed in the bowl and dominated the food :D  It was funny :)

We're runt people over here.  We're pretty sure our 2 dogs were the runts of their litters.  We love runts :)

You do know its possible for a dog to have a litter of 8 puppies from 8 different males?   I've seen litters ranging from one sister that was a slightly larger dachshund looking dog to a brother the size of a large rottie with several in between.

that's how some breeders try and get "teacups" they double mate the female so the second mating will be born early and hopefully smaller.

I didn't realize that either!  I remember hearing a story of a woman that had "twins" from 2 diff. fathers that she had been w/within a few days (or hours?) of each other.  Didn't know if it was a true story!
