GOLD's GYM
« on: February 16, 2008, 05:36:44 PM »
Is becoming a family gym! They just took away all the dumbbells from 150's to 80's because they said it scared customers. Now they made a rule that we can't deadlift at all, or bench or squat over 405lbs! Whats coming of the world now. Wasn't gold's Gym built on Arnold and harcore training? Anyone else have the same problems?  >:(

Not for that many, I lift heavy and I did the 150's for 6 perfect form, trust me, I'm not one of these people that try to show out on heavy weight, but thats what I need to grow...

so now you can just do 12 perfect reps with the 75s and you'll get the same result. problem solved, thread over.

The purpose of the thread was not to boast about weight that I lift it was to see if anybody else had the same issues. You missed the point. I heard that gold's Gym was doing this all across the country and I just wanted to find out if that was true. Any by the way, I don't lift more than 6 reps so the 75's would do nothing for me. Thanks for the concern.

Scott Alexander would not approve; then again he could probably buy his own gym with 300lb dumbells that no one would ever lift.

No, Scott Alexander is known as "No 1"

Ok, basically yes he cares for his million dollar looks but he seeks women. He has sex with very fine women. A far cry from penis to rectum contact.

He's worth a 100 million.

He could hire a gang of assasins to jack you up and sodomize you with a pogo stick.

no need to squat with more than 100 pounds

i use the 35 pound dumbells for squats and my quads are perfect, just my bodyfat is too high

405 pound squatting is for fatasses and juicers and ego lifters no offense

You must break down muscle tissue when you train in order to build muscle.

If you do this with high loads(force on muscle tissues) it will be effective.

The Scott Alexander training system is the answer to these questions.

Yes.

Scott Alexander is the alpha male. A multi-millionaire who could probably buy the IFBB and make everyone here his bitch.

personally i beleive that consistency is most important as in EVERYDAY TRAINING with ZERO days off

ive been painting and working on houses and construction jobs for YEARS and NEVER stopped working out

i never worried too much about lifting heavier just DOING it every day and not givin a damn about people telling me im overtraining

the human body can be an immortal workhorse slave machine, that was our design

but through the years of misinformation the human kind has lost its confidence and knowledge

one must make up a reality as if they were the only human for survival and only could rely on themselves (meaning NO days off! because you have no one to rely on but yourself)

Not being allowed to deadlift at all is a disgrace, seriously.

I'd complain to the manager and if you get no joy then try giving Scott Alexander a call. He would be pretty angry about this and would no doubt send his henchmen round to convince this douche to reconsider.
