I remember him saying a 1999 show in an interview sometime after the 2001
Olympia. I did a little searching and this is what I found.

"he's said himself that ironman 1999 conditioning was his all-time best, totally ripped, just not carrying enough weight to be top-dog." cormier took the show, in front of milos and jay.

He may have changed his mind since then to the 2004 ASC as far as I know.
If Jay had entered in 2002 I think he would have beat an off and small Ronnie.
Someone else showed a pic of Ronnie's back compared with Jay's.
Here is a quick screen cap off of you tube that is straight on and shows
the difference in structure. As great as Jay was, Ronnie genetically was just
extremely hard to beat even when a little off.

If you want the truth, Dennis Wolf defeated Jay from the front, but that didn't seem to matter.

Victor Martinez beat jay from every angle, but that didn't seem to matter.

Jay cutler and every single judge admitted Jay wasn't 100%, but that didn't seem to matter.

But you know what - He's 2 time Mr. Olympia, and that's the only thing that matters.

So please people, leave 2001 in the fucking past and accept that the great white hype finally defeated the 8 time King.

We've been broke up for over a year and a half. We lived mainly on together for 3 years.
She was an awesome girl but I wasn't ever in love with her. She treated me good and vice versa.
We are still friends and I had a lot of things over at her house from a recording studio I used to own
and my own house that I rented to friends while I stayed with her. I was remodeling a couple of houses
close to where she lived and some of my best friends wanted to get their kids in a better school system.
(My House) so we stayed at her place. My ex was at work and I met her mom to get the rest of my stuff. I think her mom would like to see me with her than the guy she's with now. My ex works 7 days a week and at times I'm extremely busy
so it's taken about 5 different trips to get my stuff over the last year and a half. I didn't have the heart to kick
my best friends out of my house so we all live together and get along although the garage is full of stuff.
(Main reason I havn't been in that big of a hurry to get the rest of my stuff from my ex.)
It does help on the mortgage payment having roomates but I do miss having the house to myself.
I stayed with her for 3 years because I wanted to fall in love with her and I hoped I eventually would.

Good post. I find this kind of shit interesting. Knowing how life works out ..in ten years you will probably find yourself pining for her and thinking 'I should have stuck with her..' Better to be the one holding the winning hand in a relationship ..better than getting some hot bitch with a running flush to your pair..

doubt it. ronnie won at a light weight (baby) in 1998 vs. a much bigger 2003 shape, and he didnt lose an olympia in that timeframe. as the sport progresses, it calls for larger physiques. as ur contendors get larger, so must u to retain the title. if ronnie stayed in 1998 form at the '01 O, jay would have probably won.
