Good commentary by King.  Thoughtful and honest.

The only thing I found interesting was when he was asked about how to get
his back wide and said to use a wide grip.

In Chick's War for the Worlds, he said that wide trip works INNER back, whereas
close grip works outer back.

I know each person is different, but who's correct here?

Chick is right.

Both are right and wrong IMO. You can hit your lats with both grips. Dorian said it best, don't try to compartmentalize your back training too much. Say you do only rows for back and get these huge slabs of muscle for lats is your back not going to be wide?

Back is one of the bodyparts that cant be hit from one or two movements to fully develop. Various rows and pulls with do the job.

Sure variation is good and optimizing the way you execute the movement can impact results but really, a pullup/pulldown variation + a rowing movement + deadlifts hits it all pretty much.

Kamali is wide because of genetics, not because he used a wide grip. Phil Heath is not going to get really wide by switching to wide grip.

This was interesting. "Chad was crazy". Intimates he was worried about drinking Chad's secret potions. Also that he did crazy things to get to the pro level so fast, "because I had no fear".

Many young getbigers think the measurement of arm size and the visual arm size are the same.
But in reality,NOT.
Shape of arms are more important than the size of arms.

I see you've made it back over the border.
