50 Cent Wins Child Support Ruling

50 Cent has been handed victory after a judge ruled in his favor in a dispute with his ex-girlfriend over child support for their son Marquis.

The superstar rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, took Shaniqua Tomkins to court after refusing to agree to her requests for more money for the upkeep of the 10-year-old.

Tomkins previously asked for $50,000-a-month but was granted just half of that sum - $25,000-a-month - when the court viewed her and her son's expenses.

But that figure was reduced further earlier this week, and Tomkins will now only receive $6,700-a-month from the multi-millionaire In Da Club hitmaker, reports the New York Post's gossip column PageSix.

Jackson's lawyer Brett Kimmel says, "My client and I are very happy with the ruling."

Even at $6,700 per month thats $80,400 per year to raise that child.  Yeah...I'm sure thats where its going.
Courts awarding child support at $6,700 or $25,000 per month are f'n insane.

There are laws and arguments about husband and wife splitting everything.  This case is about a baby and two non-wed parents.
Its appauling the amounts of child support some of these courts award...so what if the dad is famous, the kid and the mom aren't!

Unfortunately we'll probably never find out - the judge has banned them from speaking about it publicly as it would be contempt of court. The only way we'll find out is if the slag doesn't get what she wants and files for appeal - then it becomes public knowledge.

I read that Paul got of "quite well". A figure below 100 million.
Considering his fortune is estimated at 12,6 billion it's not that bad.
