he was too small. and had a shit attitude, never really like him. had great genetics and a great shape but never really did anything with it....

Will power.

Phil Heath is kinda like a new Cormier with less width, less developed chest and better arms. And atleast Phil has a better work ethic and isn't ugly.  ;D

He didn't train for like a year.  he packed getting big and dieting down all into one season.  Give him a good year of training he'll be ok.  He does have to worry about his tricep tear though

Other then competing during a very competitive era (most the guys that ever beat him were all time greats) he just kinda seemed to be in the middle of a smaller shredded guy with great shape and asethetics and a huge guy with good condition and great shape and really full. If he stayed the course to look one way or the other I think he could have really been knocking on the door for a Sandow. I mean he always had a decent shot if he came in peeled but over the years his look def changed some.



Here's his rookie Olympia and most recent Pro win. Def the only guy from that 94 Mr. O that still looked that good except for Ronnie of course.

He got bigger but honestly what could have he really improved upon other then just getting bigger or being more shredded, everything else is and has always been there.

Being ranked number 3 in the world for several years isn't bad. He had to compete against Flex Wheeler (back in the late 90's) who had better symmitry and proportion and Jay and Ronnie's freaky size.
