Republican Congressman indicted in Ariz. land deal
« on: February 22, 2008, 12:09:00 PM »
seems to be a serious problem for republicans lately.  I'm starting to lose track, there have been so many bad apples for republicans. :-\

WASHINGTON - Republican Rep. Rick Renzi was charged Friday with extortion, wire fraud, money laundering and other crimes in an Arizona land swap that authorities say helped him collect hundreds of thousands of dollars in payoffs.

I was actually thinking the same thing about Democrats.   :)  Scandals are party neutral.  I just read about one yesterday:  'Missing Candidate' Convicted of Faking Post-Crash Disappearance for Attention.  http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,331608,00.html

you're nuts if you think the dems over the last 7 years have had more scandals.  The republican list freaking dwarfs the dem list, that's a fact bubba.  In my original post, you'll note I'm talking recently.  This decade is chalking up way way more republican scandals period.  Sorry if that fact puts you into denial.

I mean scandals affect both parties.  No party has a monopoly.  Almost every presidential administration has "scandals," regardless of party.  Republicans commit crimes, indiscretions, etc.  So do Democrats.  The contention that one party is somehow immune from scandal is inaccurate.

Just within the past year or so, we've seen both Democrats and Republicans arrested and charged with crimes, cheat on their wives, etc.  Happens all the time.

I think that many people just don't understand that we are going to have to go through some pain and lean years in order to get out of the hole we dug for ourselves. It's gonna mean taking an erasure to the chalkboard and starting all over a new but with old idea that worked.

Obama may offer hope but I think the average supporters think it means the problems will just gonna fix themselves with some sweet words.

your second point is good - but your first one makes you lok ignorant.

Obama gave the man credit for it a year ago when he first used the line, and had permission to use it, and really the story is a non-issue.

Is obama an accomplished senator?  hell no.  talk about that.  don't discount that point by starting your post with misinformation, as it poisons the good point you made.
