bertil had some issues but his physique at his peak was awesome.
i don't understand why the powers that be let morons judge bbing contests. you want to get large paying audiences at your venue, you need the best quality physiques. to get the best quality physiques, you reward the best on the night so they go away motivated to come back better than ever next time = larger audience. it's not hard.
bertil was a genetic monster with a gift to inspire awe that, in any other sport, would have been promoted and rewarded to the extreme. instead of doing this, as typical with the ifbb and why they still don't get asses on seats, they just let fox languish, become unmotivated and fade away.
i was a big fan of brutal and if i saw him on the cover of a mag or an training article, i paid attention and money, as did my school friends. makes me wonder now what we could have seen from fox if he was given fair play and motivated to get even better.
what he did in the end might have happened anyway. he may have been a lunatic for all i know but i don't see the sense in fucking over a guy with issues, especially if said guy is willing to put some effort in to accomplish something in his life. all that does is confirm to him that society sux and there's no use trying to improve because you will never be treated any different. this is how fox ended up...sad.
