MIAMI: A woman who obtained a restraining order earlier this year against New England Patriots star Randy Moss has requested that the order be dissolved and the case dismissed.

Court records show Rachelle Washington, 35, filed papers March 3 with the Broward County Circuit Court clerk's office requesting that the case be closed. The restraining order had required the All-Pro wide receiver to stay at least 500 feet from Washington.

Moss denied he harmed Washington as she claimed at her Florida home on Jan. 6, or that he prevented her from seeking medical attention. Attorneys for Moss and Washington could not immediately be reached by telephone Tuesday for comment.

I know what you are saying, but in this case Moss was extorted by a woman who he thought was his friend. I had my doubt about Moss, but since he came to NE he has been a great player/ teammate, and I think a lot of the things peolpe say about him where due to the media hype.

Look at a guy like Farve - (abuses pain killers and gets a free pass from the media).. Why; Because he is a good ol country boy that the media loves.

In most cases a 10-6 record doesn't win you a division title and home playoff game. You benefited by a down year for the entire division and you finished three games above .500 at 10-7. as for cowher, he missed the playoffs 5 times so why do you all of a sudden consider him a great coach?  you never said anything positive about him when he was our coach, i wonder why

But I'd be more bitter if my team layed the kind of egg the Steelers dropped in the playoffs. I sure know I was pissed when the Ravens lost to the Colts in the '07 playoffs. But at least they played competitively when they did lose unlike the Steelers.

And to correct you, winning 10 games doesn't 'normally' get you in the playoffs in today's NFL. Not with only two wildcard teams per conference. In fact for the last 3 years a 10 win team has missed the postseason. All in the tougher AFC, if I'm not mistaken.
