Does no one disagree even slightly with verse 6? "Be careful for nothing," "Take no thought for the morrow." Don't think ahead.
In the context of the rest of the verses, I took verse 6 to simply mean not to worry.
Yup.
Philippians 4:6 (New International Version)"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
1 Peter 5:7"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
Matthew 6:27"Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"
Matthew 6:31-33"So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Matthew 6:34"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
