which BFTO do you mean? on BFTO '06 he benches 365 for 8 and then a HARD 6 on the second set.

Here' a link to Dex's BFTO 2000 footage:

you've obviously never seen a clip of Dexter training, he has to lift his ass off the bench to get his 5th rep with 405 in the offseason, how dos that equate to 5 45's and a quarter on each side of the bar, it doesn't, he can't bench 550, in reality he can get 445-450 for a good single which is still VERY IMPRESSIVE.

HOLY SHIT! You think that is VERY IMPRESSIVE? For a guy who is that short and 235-245 off season and is juiced from here to the moon??

Nothing impressive at all about that.

I counted on the first set of 405 x 4 unassisted reps with partial ROM

I counted on the second set of 405 x 0 unassisted reps

Your a LONG way off from 550 my friend.

Oh I like the thumb under grip!  lol - the white panty hose on the monkey spotting him was a nice touch as well!

a 455 pound bench press at ANY BODYWEIGHT is very impressive, if you don't think so you must train at a gym where everybody benches 600, squats 900 and shoulder presses 405. ::)

No NOT EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE  for someone who has been lifting that long, has such short limbs and is on enough gear to open a pharmacy.

Ok, get your ass on all the stuff he is, and we'll see you bench that. Dexter is stronger than a lot of pro's when it comes to the benchpress, but weaker in pretty much every other area. Besides, most drugs don't increase strength... i'm pretty sure AAS does, but HGH and Slin don't so pretty much anyone who juices at regular doses would have just as much of an advantage as Dex.

Personally, I think that's very impressive.

His legs are short, but not his arms they are pretty long either way what he does for reps is still damn impressive I recall a video you posted awhile back of yourself only doing 275 for 2 reps struggle with the 2nd one  :o

Who Cares what he can bench?  Does it make him look any different?

The first question any of the BB groupies ask is "how much do you bench?".  If this doesn't set off dumb ass alarms to the person you are talking to, I don't know what will.  When you ask a pro that, do you somehow think that if you can bench close to him that you could go pro.  I have never understood that.

Our local news down here in New Zealand has said Dexter claims a bench of 250kg.
Is this true? Ive seen him perform a very shakey lift with 180kg/400pds for 5-6 reps.

Maybe for a single at a very high bf% but what do you guys think of this claim?

if you saw him do 5-6 reps with 180kg...was he fresh?- offseason?..

if he wasnt, do you think he coulda done 190kg or even 200kg if he was fresh/offseason?

i know my 1RM is about 1.3 x my 6 rep weight...

and about 1.4 x my 10 rep weight.

how about the rest of you nay sayers?- lets use some actual logic before calling BS for a change..

1.3 x 180kg = 234kg...not far off...and if fresh...very likely..you seem to have witnessed evidence that supports his claim.

so in fact this makes his claim even more legit as he has you to back up his 6 reps.
