Should congress pass the Spitzer law...
« on: March 13, 2008, 11:49:15 AM »
...allowing elected officials to have a harem?  That might keep people like Spitzer, Clinton, et al from going out in hiding and having their flings in secret.  Could set the harem size according to the job:  city councilman gets one woman, mayor two, state legislator three, governor six and president ten.

And think about how it would improve the candidates for office.  Every man in the country would be clamoring to be elected, creating a greater pool of choices.  We'd no longer have as many of the "vote for the lesser of two evil" choices, like we've had for President.

Of course, the official would still have the problem of getting his wife to go for it and would have to pay his own money for the harem upkeep.

As if government employees don't already waste loads of work time on personal stuff.  As to Capt Equipoise's point, I thought that Spitzer used his own money to book the girl.  Has something new come out?

I am still a little pissed over the reaction of the masses at large....As it stands there is no proof of him doing anything..all has been speculation and accusation without proof. We have an illegal wire tap, a bank that claims it was suspicious for him to take out over a period of time 15000 dollars so it called the IRS, a photograph of the supossed person who was the call girl and a lot of other "DOCTORED" looking "EVIDENCE". Barney Frank the homo who is the pedophile who was sodomizing children and running a pedophile ring with four other men right out of his Massachusetts's home is still in office, Larry Craig the bathroom fag was busted by a cop (probably a fag also) in a airport bathroom soliciting sex is still in office, Robert Allen senator of Florida was busted in a park bathroom doing the same thing is still in office, Dennis Hastert is a known homosexual as is George Bush who has had long time relations with Jeff Gannon the porn star. How is it Spitzer is stepping down so willingly? How come Joe Bruno is so involved in this matter? Is it revenge for Spitzer going after him for his own corruption?

In any case I think your idea is dumb...most men in politics are FAGS and women are the RARITY is sex scandal cases. I think this whole mater needs to be investigated a lot more deeply.

Dailykos did a lot of reporting on Jeff Gannon.

Ahhh!  So a legit, authoritative journalistic source.   ::)

(Not that I wouldn't want to see this turn out to be true.  Just wish it would "come out" sooner than later and get Bush booted out of office.  The country can't take much more of Bush's "leadership.")
