thanks for the replies everyone. dont have pics, but it's the same as what has happened to scott and ruhl. my left pec is almost identical to ruhl's right one. i will definately lay off all chest exercises for a while, as it does get worse with the more training/pressure u apply to the area.
In Steiner's case, it's not a tear but nerve damage.
likely, but the result is the same - tendons tearing off the bone and wasting away. anyone who has this problem will know when cartilage is gone, as u can feel the bone under the skin, where there used to be padding ontop of bone.
yes to all of it. There has always been pain. My strength has improved, it's taken quite abit of time to regain it. Not sure when I'll be at 100% I am still heating and stretching about 2-3 times a day. It happened about 15 months ago.
I've got one square pec and the other is round. IMO it looks like shit
has the physiotherapist been able to stop urs getting worse than it was 15 months ago? we're in a similar boat - i also get pain in certain areas of my chest, like a buising sensation when i push on it. seems to be only where the tears have happened, coincidentally.
im going to the doc next week and asking to be referred to a chest specialist (as he suggested). i dont recommend anyone get a chest xray for this, as an xray only looks at the bones. anyway, if i do find a way to stop this getting worse or a way to fix the aesthetical appeal to it, i'll let everyone here know.
