what does he usually use for the movement that injured him opposed to what he was using when it happened?

that's what you guys should be looking at.

Adam Abeles is a shill.  Don't trust this man.  The only thing worse than a wolf in sheep's clothing is a wolf in shepherd's clothing.

Is there something we don't know about?

Who cares, I'm sure he was spot on.

The one thing I've heard about Layne a couple of times is that he seems to have a "I'm better than you all" attitude with people.

He's never done anything to me personally, I'm just relaying what I've been told.

Is there something we don't know about?

Adam lies, or at the very least, does not prove his claims.  Examples include his 225 pound deadlift for 112 reps as well as his degree in physics.

I'm a pretty frequent poster on the other forum, but I think I'm going to like it here.

Reading some of his posts, and watching his youtube videos sure is giving me a laugh.  What is his thinking posting those vids????????

Quote
what can i say, you can do everything in your power to help others and some people just aren't going to like you. I'm not going to lose sleep over trying to get everyone to like me or agree with what I do. I'm not sure what was nonsensical about my reply. I thought I laid it out decently well. As far as calling you a coward, that was not directed at you in particular, but anyone who makes fun of other people's misfortunes in general. I could spend paragraphs trying to convince you why you are wrong about me and why I'm a good guy and blah blah blah, but I'm not because I've learned that no matter what you do, no matter how good your intentions are, there will be people who find reasons to dislike you. That's fine. I love lifting heavy. I love bodybuilding. I love helping people. I'm not going to apologize for any of that or have anyone try to make me feel bad about it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I just think it's low to make light of another's misfortunes. I disagree that if you can't handle more than 6 reps it is useless, low rep lifting helps build strength and overall mass (just look at Dom for crying out loud) and accounts for more actual myofibrillar hypertrophy. As far as me 'lifting for ego'. I love lifting heavy... not going to apologize for that.

Lifting like he does is only asking for trouble.  He supposedly a knowledgeable person, but yet lifts like this?  He's either doing it for his ego (I think so), or because he lacks the knowledge to realize 1 rep is useless for a bodybuilder.

He is also a natural so he has limits, and since he doesn't want to take things to the next level (I myself trained natural for almost 20 years) then he should have just accepted where he got himself in bodybuilding before his injury.

Also after reading his own posting, seems like there were several doctors telling him that he didn't need surgery.  Yet, because he thinks he knows more then other people, he opted for surgery.  A total waste by looking at his photos.

If he was so worried, why not worry about adding some mass, instead of a little pimple on his chest.

From what I've seen on these videos Layne trains (trained ha ha) like an idiot. Always pushing too hard. That is not the way to progress

so high intensity doesn't equal progress now?

rofl..i always thought the opposite.  Pushing yourself to the limits with anything in life ensures at least moderate success if not more.  Until Laynes recent accident it looked like it was working for him.

Seriously, more people in the industry recognize his name as opposed to 90% of IFBB pros.

I think what he meant was using heavy weight too often which almost always equals injury.
