jay's future in 2008 regardless if he wins the O?
« on: March 18, 2008, 03:16:46 PM »
just wondering 1) does everyone think/know this is definitely jay's last year, has jay himself even mentioned this anywhere

2)what if he doesn't win the O, would he go on to 2009?

3) if jay wins the mr.O will he pull a coleman and retire immediately after the show, not even finishing the rest of 2008 with guest appearances and such?

I will go for @ least 3 more yrs, I will be 35 then, its about being the best for me and will do what I need to do to get there, but stay healthy doing so... I am not tapped out yet guys, trust me. I have a lot to give to the bodybuilding world still. Thanks for the support.

I think his peak as a bber has ended with Ronnie retireing.
When he was competing agaist Ronnie each year. He was a great bber that any bbers of now a day cant even catch up with him.
Same as Ronnie. Just his body is really tired and ending. If Ronnie havent existed,he could have won numerous times.

I believe Jay isn't scared to compete against any of the current top guys, but if a new guy jumps into runner up spot for example Wolf as runner up in 08 then this may push Jay into retirement. Dexter or Victor won't scare him. Like Haney wasn't scared of Lee or Rich, but when Dorian came he retired in his early thirties still in his prime.

If Cutler is scared going into the Olympia one the pro's push Cutler to the limte for example Heath,Dexter, or Wolf. Cutler might think about haning up the poseing trunks for good.

best thing would be winning and then retiring ontop. if ronnie had retired ontop, we'd be saying 'no way would jay have beaten ronnie in 06 or 07'. 'he could have gone on for at least 2 more years.'
