Not quite (at least, I hope not with Jones).
Greg Kovacs won the Canadian Nationals in 1996, earning his pro card. That's the best he's ever looked. Had he kept that version of his physique, he may had done alright at the pro level. Unfortunately, due to too much press from his then-employers, he kept trying to get bigger (the LAST thing he needed to do) and messed up his proportions, not to mentioned that he never duplicated his condition as the '96 Nationals.
Ken Jones turned pro that same year, at the same show where the current Mr. Olympia won his pro card. As you know, all the class winners are eligible for pro status. But, the odds of a bantamweight making an impact at the pro level are slim and none (with slim heading for the "EXIT" sign).
