Anybody who would actually spend the time to read fictitious arm training articles in Flex magazine is
an imbecile. Anybody who would apply anything they read in Flex to their training is an imbecile.
Anybody who uses a western periodization training program is an imbecile. Anybody who thinks
preacher curls will give them "beefy" forearms is an imbecile. Anybody who believes that curls are
responsible for the size of one's arms is an imbecile. You fucking child...
Reading Comprehension ain't your steelo is it?
I don't take what Flex has to offer when they give actual training articles. They were following Heath around and noted what he was doing. I also noted that Heath was using a straight bar and has thick forearms. I also said that this could have been what was available. Hell, who takes what Flex puts in training articles as gospel in the first place?
And Lee Priest has repeatedly states that he doesn't isolate the forearms in any exercises (who knows, he could be lying, right?), this goes back to the early 90's. One of my friends uses a a straight curl bar, and never trains forearms directly, his forearms like mine are high (we both are black) yet his are thicker, he says from the use of the straight bar. Me, I fucked up my wrists (being that my joints are small as hell) using a straight bar, and started using the EZ Curl bar to alleviate the pain in the wrist.
Yes, I know that curls themselves are not responsible for big forearms, and I neither said preachers curls were either. You didn't see me state any of that in my post did you? No, you didn't. Go back and read. I have developed bigger forearms thru forearm curls and other exercises. I was asking a question based on observation. We all know that slight supination or twist of the arm hits different areas of the biceps, and Chick himself has said that there is a coorellation between bicep injuries and usage of a straight bar. So why can't there be other things involve.
