That's why I suggested they might be charged with trafficking. If you send banned substances into a country, then you are breaking their law. It's not usually pursued of course, like a tourist who tries to carry a piece of fruit into Aus or a cuban cigar into the US. On a larger scale however, if someone mailed bombs into the US from a country where explosives are legal to posess, they'd still be breaking US law and the US government would seek to get their hands on 'em.

Fwiw, I think steroid use should be legal, but at the moment it isn't and these guys should have taken way more care than they did.

Its an election year. Bush is gonna throw people under the bus on his "Tough on drugs"Policy. This is one of a number of things he will setup to show us all of a sudden he is proactive.

Expect gas prices to recede a little so as to fool you into thinking this also.

Actually, the 2000% increase is due to the Taliban being overthrown in 2001/2002. Regardless of the downsides of the Taliban, they ruled with an iron fist and are the only government in that region capable of curbing drug cultivation and homosexuality (lol) in Afghanistan - both of which have skyrotted since they were removed.

It is somewhat of a misconception to say that the US polices the whole world. They only do that when it benefits their bottom line. If there is no way to get money out of the deal, they will not be involved. That is why they want to wage war on Iran, but not on North Korea for example.

most of the websites that you can get aas from have disclaimers that say they are not responsible for knowing the laws of your country, and its up to you the customer to know whether or not the aas is legal in your country...

and since its legal to have and sell aas in the countries where the sources are located..

it doesnt make sense to me how they could be charged with anything.

It's a bullshit disclaimer heh. I could put up a site selling cocaine and saying Hey I'm not responsible for laws in your country, but guess what the DEA would be up my ass faster than you could blink.

Why do you think Gen is no longer shipping to the US? They don't' want the DEA up their ass.

Yes, we concede that. The point is that the DEA should not be involved in the affairs of other countries. We understand what the consequences would be, but that doesn't justify the interventionist policies of the DEA.

Your right, but you are talking out of both sides of your mouth. The DEA should NOT stick their nose in another countries business,BUT as you pointed out earlier, the US only gets involved when it has financial interests. The DEA is culling the Underground market right now, and consolidating power under their trench coat.

These guys were not citizens of Thailand that is why they let the DEA take them. I seriously doubt they would have let them take away one of their own.
