This is a very interesting clip.

You can see here that most Americans vote on the public perception of the candidate and their personality, not their policies or political staces.  Few, if any could name any general policies.  Nearly all young people said they would vote for Obama but couldn't name any policy or detail besides change.  The young women who said he is cool or he could 'break it down' are just irritating.  This isn't a high school election.  Almost all young people said they didn't like Hillary since she is 'a bitch', as several girls directly stated.
Maybe this is why we have superdelegates...a large % of Americans have no idea whats going on.  All surface opinions.  I hope they don't vote.

One of the best lines for voting for Barrack Obama,

"What is your favorite Obama policy? "

"Well, not one particular policy but just his whole, his whole... uh........his whole......his whole.....what he's, uh, what he's going on all together like, this whole bandwagon of change, that's all he wants is change and and there can be change in America."

"Maybe I'll vote for Obama because he's black and that's cool."

hahahaha  ::) ::)

Thats exactly Benny Blanco's favorite policy too. lol

everyone is too involved in their own lives to be interested and it proves the Presidency is a glorified position.

Pathetic. it's all a sham.

There is another thing to consider.  Guys in entertainment have been doing this kind of thing forever and getting a laugh out of it.  It's not uncommon at all for a person to go blank when all of a sudden you have a mic and camera in your face.  Then they of course skip over the people with good answers and play all the people who appear dumber than a rock.

hmmm, no, I think this is pretty much the way it goes. People just regurgitate what they pick up in the news here and there. You think the majority of people are skimming through multiple sources of information to get a balanced view of each canidate? I doubt anyone on this video or in general read Obama plans? There are only a few people on this site that seem to have done any research on the canidates.

Oh I don't disagree one bit.  I'm just saying, what is also true of these guys running round filming people.  The end result probably looks quite a bit worse.

So you think it's any different in other states?

I think we need more political science in schools.

Not the boring heavy kind, but just the basic shit, teaching kids what Liberalism, Conservatism, Socialism/Marxism and all the major Ism's are.

With a solid foundation, the citizens will be able to sort out for themselves easier.

But without it, they will vote for the most populistic and richest candidate.

Our democracy isn't dieing, but there are cracks that needs fixing.

I agree, we need more emphasis on government and especially history in education but you touch on a huge problem in America.  The dumbing down of our society so recognized by many.  I think it's intentional but that's debatable.  With Florida quickly becoming the most hated, it has to do with the last two presidential elections and this latest primary debacle of theirs.  Americans are getting a little piffed at Florida.  Are they any dumber than other states, probably not, but because they wield so many delegates, they stick out more than say, Wyoming :D

Why stop at superdelegates? We should get a dictator.  Maybe the president of Harvard or Columbia can just run the country for us.

Calmus doesn't care that the average person is clueless, as long as they vote for Obama everything is fine. Actually being brainless is almost mandatory.  :)

My statement on superdelegates was more to be critical of stupid people.
Agreed, it is a slippery slope.  I think the two party system needs to be amended first and foremost.

Next, I believe there should be more direct questions and media concentration on the specific policies of the candidates to show their differences.  Too bad if its not 'interesting' enough.  In questioning these people, its obvious they pick up on what the media concentrates on the most...the personalities, negative ads, the bickering and nuggets of information that have nothing to do with how each person would run the country.  Just hard to fathom that these people are voting and yet are completely uninformed.  The 'I'm going to vote for Barack cause he's black and thats cool' comment was incomprehensible, same with the 'I'm voting for Barack cause he can break it down'.  Perhaps I think too many young pretty girls are naive & stupid.  At least have a reason to vote for someone, I respect that even if I disagree.  Stupidity is inexcusable.

Shootfighter,

As shocking as that video is, bear in mind, ...it's just a YouTube version of Reality TV.
I'm sure the most ignorant of the ignorant were chosen for the final edit for entertainment purposes.
the one guy who could name a specific policy in a candidates platform that prompted his support most likely made the final edit because he called hillary a bitch! It's all just more mindless distraction.
